Sunsets await! Located on one of the most coveted streets in Ingleside Heights, this renovated 2-bed, 2-bath San Franciscan home enjoys breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, famed city golf courses, and twinkling City lights. Enjoy indoor/outdoor living at its finest! With its open concept floor plan and newly landscaped backyard with water views, deck with built-in storage bench, and lush plantings and synthetic grass, this single-family home is a true urban oasis. The open-flow floor plan and split-level design easily allow entertaining of family and friends in the light-filled living spaces, while others retire to the privacy and serenity of the back bedrooms overlooking the yard.

The gourmet eat-in view kitchen is a chef’s delight, equipped with stainless steel appliances, shaker cabinets, brand new hardware, a skylight, an island with bar stools, modern countertops and backsplash, and a view office nook.

The open living and dining areas enjoy tall ceilings and picture walls of windows capturing the Pacific Ocean. Soak in the California sunsets from your very own stunning home!

Upstairs there are two sizable bedrooms, one with an ensuite bathroom, plus a second full bathroom.

The primary suite, which overlooks the backyard, has a wall of custom closets and a designated office area. Convenient pocket doors open to the remodeled spa-like primary bathroom with a stall shower and ample storage.

The second bedroom with a mirrored closet opens to the backyard through sliding doors. A second remodeled bathroom with the shower over tub and skylight plus a linen closet complete this floor.

The large, landscaped backyard is perfect for relaxing, playing, BBQing, or spending time with family and friends. There is a large deck with seating and dining areas, a built-in storage bench, new synthetic grass (which adds soft space and a safe play area), and stepping stones that lead to a shaded view seating area under the canopy of your mature statement tree.

The property also has a one-car garage with interior access and laundry, a utility sink, storage, and interior and exterior security cameras. The driveway allows for a second private parking space.

This smart home is fully equipped with a Ring doorbell, nest thermostat, Yale smart lock, interior/exterior sensors, and other smart home features. Newly updated features include lighting, fresh interior and exterior paint, backyard fencing and newly stained decking, landscaping, kitchen hardware, bathroom mirror, custom shades, new heater, among other presale improvements. Recessed lighting, hardwood floors, custom window coverings, and ceiling fans complete this home.

This property is right around the corner from the newly renovated Merced Heights playground and down the road from Brooks Park. The nearby public schools are some of the highest-rated in the City. Jose Ortega (just a few blocks away) has one of the only Mandarin immersion programs in the City. The property location is a great launchpad for work commutes or out-of-city adventures. Just minutes from 280, 101, and 19th Avenue, making it easy to commute or venture south to Half Moon Bay, Santa Cruz, Carmel, or Paso Robles, or north to Marin, Napa, or Sonoma. Additionally, the M and K, and Daly City and Balboa Bart stations are right nearby. Award-winning restaurants, wonderful grocery stores, coffee shops, the San Francisco Zoo, Stonestown shopping center, Oceanview shopping center, SFSU, and CCSF, various libraries, Stern Grove, Lake Merced, and the famous Urbano Sundial are right at your fingertips.

250 Ralston Street

A note from the sellers:

We loved living at 250 Ralston Street, for many reasons:

  • The house is just blocks away from Merced Heights Playground, which was recently remodeled and is a true hidden gem, with views of the ocean from the top of each slide and the swing.  Family friends from across the City were happy to travel to play there.
  • The nearby public schools are some of the highest-rated in the City.  Jose Ortega (just a few blocks away) is a 9/10 on GreatSchools, with one of the only Mandarin immersion programs in the City.
  • It’s a great launchpad for out-of-city adventures.  Just minutes from 280, 101, and 19th Ave., making it easy to head South to Half Moon Bay, Santa Cruz, Carmel, or Paso Robles, or North to Marin, Napa, or Sonoma.
  • If you work on the Peninsula, you don’t have to waste time commuting through the City; you can get to Menlo Park in a little over half an hour.
  • In terms of public transit, there are a number of options: the M and K are both just a few blocks away and come regularly; we also regularly walked to the Daly City BART, which is .8 miles away downhill; Balboa Park BART is another option, with bike lockers and a Lyft bike station right outside.
  • The ocean (and SF Zoo) are short bike rides away–bike up the Great Highway and to Outerlands for brunch, then play in Golden Gate Park.
  • The neighborhood has developed a growing culture of bars and restaurants, including:
    • Lucho’s (amazing chilaquiles–so good we actually saw Jason Momoa there once) was our favorite.  We would walk there most weekends, and then play at the Aptos Middle School playground or the Sundial in Ingleside Terraces.
    • West Portal is home to all sorts of restaurants (we loved Little Original Joe’s and El Toreador), bars (the Sherwood has phenomenal cocktails), shopping (from clothing to crafts), and activities (highly recommend Tutu School for kids).  It’s a pretty walk to get there (through the elegant St. Francis Wood neighborhood), an easy ride on the M or K, or a 7-minute drive.
    • Ocean Alehouse is taking a leading role in organizing more events on Ocean Ave.  They have live music, trivia, food that’s better than normal bar food, and a sophisticated and constantly-changing array of drinks.
    • Blue House Cafe is just a few blocks away, with great coffee and treats.
  • Stern Grove is just a bike or MUNI ride away; they have an incredible free summer concert series, with acts in the last couple of years including Leanne Rimes, Patti Smith, Cold War Kids, and the Flaming Lips.
  • There were three different library branches within walking distance (Ingleside, Ocean View, and Merced).  They each have different events and kids areas.
  • Stonestown Mall has everything a shopper could possibly need, including fashion stores, Target, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, a Sports Basement, a movie theater, and an acclaimed food court (see https://www.sfgate.com/food/article/San-Francisco-Stonestown-food-survival-16829366.php).  It’s just a few stops away on Muni, or an easy bike ride.
  • There are a number of other grocery shopping options nearby, including H Mart, and the Whole Foods on Ocean Avenue.
  • San Francisco City College and SF State are both easy bike or Muni rides away, and have continuing education opportunities and other programming for community members.
  • Generally speaking, the cost of living is much lower in the southern side of the City.  For example, our daycare costs increased 50% when we moved to a better-known neighborhood (we loved Tiny Seeds Daycare).  There are also a number of great restaurants in Daly City, Colma, and Pacifica that will deliver to 250 Ralston and have lower prices.
